Art lesson with the Stambourne Ladies Group: join us for an evening of Zentangle fun with our resident artist Kirsten Wright!
What’s Zentangle?
Zentangle is drawing miniature abstract, repetitive, structured patterns created according to the tenets of the Zentangle Method: a on a 3.5-inch square tile (ie: white paper), using black ink with grey pencil shading. These patterns are called tangles, and they can be a combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs.
Zentangle was invented by a monk named Rick Roberts and an artist named Maria Thomas with the aim of making the act of drawing pleasurable, meditative & accessible to all.
Pens and paper will be supplied by SLG.
