Stambourne VE Day celebration picnic

Saturday, 10th May 2025 — from 2pm // Join us for a picnic on the Stambourne Playing Field to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day)! Bring along food & drink, blankets, something to sit on, something to sit under in case we are blessed with blinding sunshine, some games, and anything else you can think of to make this get-together even more fun.

Join us for a VE Day Picnic on the Playing Field!

Join us on the Stambourne Playing Field on Saturday, 10th May 2025 from 2pm as we come together to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day).

Bring your own picnic food and drinks, and perhaps some shade—just in case we’re treated to glorious sunshine!

Don’t forget to pack a few games or extras to help make the afternoon even more enjoyable.

We will have refreshments available and will be playing music from the era to set the scene. There will also be a VE Quiz, a VE Day talk and a selection of artifacts from the Ridgewell Airfield Commemorative Museum.

Come along and be part of the celebration—we’d love to see you there!

We would very much appreciate donations of cakes in the Pavilion—THANKS!

Everybody welcome. Round up your friends and family and make a day of it!
