Forthcoming emergency road closure in Stambourne – Summer 2023: after reporting the water leak along Cornish Hall End Road to Anglian Water and Essex Highways along Cornish Hall End Road many times, Anglian Water have (finally) confirmed that the constant water leak of 2+ years is due to a leak in one of their pipes, possibly the high-pressure main that goes to Hedingham. During that time, they have repeatedly maintained that it was not their water, but now have finally conceded that it is, after putting monitoring equipment on the hill between The Lilacs and Great Nortons. Therefore, there will be an emergency road closure along Cornish Hall End Road within the next week or so whilst they repair the pipe. They don’t know at this stage how much damage is underneath the road surface or how long the repair will take.

After reporting the water leak along Cornish Hall End Road to Anglian Water and Essex Highways many times, Anglian Water have (finally) confirmed that the constant water leak of 2+ years is due to a leak in one of their pipes, possibly the high-pressure main that goes to Hedingham.

Therefore, there will be an emergency road closure along Cornish Hall End Road within the next week or so whilst they repair the pipe.
Further updates will be posted on this page. Stay tuned!
