Join us for a VE Day Picnic on the Playing Field!
Join us on the Stambourne Playing Field on Saturday, 10th May 2025 from 2pm as we come together to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day).
Bring your own picnic food and drinks, and perhaps some shade—just in case we’re treated to glorious sunshine!
Don’t forget to pack a few games or extras to help make the afternoon even more enjoyable.
We will have refreshments available and will be playing music from the era to set the scene. There will also be a VE Quiz, a VE Day talk and a selection of artifacts from the Ridgewell Airfield Commemorative Museum.

Come along and be part of the celebration—we’d love to see you there!
We would very much appreciate donations of cakes in the Pavilion—THANKS!
Everybody welcome. Round up your friends and family and make a day of it!

Buy us a coffee! ☕

For over 15 years the Stambourne website has been entirely funded by one single person. Now we are asking for a small token donation, to keep things running smoothly. If you find value in our website and in what it offers, consider buying us a virtual coffee ☕
Use the button below to make a contribution, however small, to the upkeep and running costs. We would be immensely grateful for the support. Thank you! And cheers!
